Authority Figures: Mayor Mudda -Human (female); Expert, very beautiful (Cha 17), blatantly Lawful good alignment. She is loved by almost everyone in the community.
Goldie - Ranger Lupin (Collie), Mudda rescued Goldie as a "pup" nearly drowned in
the Longbone river. She raised her as her own child. The two have been inseparable ever since.
Notable Personalities: The Berserker Brothers- Human Barbarians, these three brothers are brash, rude and obnoxious, when not doing a half-ass job as SteakWurm ranchers they are out and
about causing trouble. Mudda tolerates them however, as they're partly responsible for the decline in marauding humanoids in the area.
Ox- Human Commoner, Incredibly Strong, Incredibly Stupid. Loyal to Mudda and the town.
Jeremiah Jackson - Class? Human, this crazy old fisherman is obsessed with catching Ole' Black Lung. Though he tells some tall tales, some of them may be true?!.
Mutt III- Jeremiah's loyal hound dog, Black Lung supposedly swallowed I and II.
Wesley the Snipe - Human Warrior/Expert (Hunter), He trains the town Militia (all 301 members) once a month. Just in case the humanoids ever get rowdy again.
Notable Flora & Fauna of Mudville:
- MudCats - These large catfish thrive in the muddy waters around Mudville. Many villagers make their living fishing for these large beasts. One must be
careful though, some are large enough to swallow a halfling whole. A common legend in Mudville is Ole' Black Lung an ancient Mud Cat big enough to swallow a row-boat and all the men on board!
- Stagon - A large form of white-tail deer with six legs, much larger and stronger than regular deer. They are ideal for use as a riding beast. Most Mudville
residents cap off a male's horns for safety.
- Steak Wurms-These mutant worms are considered to be quite tasty. A large steak wurm can feed a small village. Many of the residents of Mudville are
Steak Wurm ranchers, exporting some of the meat to distant markets.
- Mule Beetle - This giant beetle has been successfully domesticated by the residents of Mudville. The beetle has no natural attacks and is quite docile.
While trainable for simple plowing and hauling tasks the beasts are neither bright nor fast.
- Willowood: This tree, with its characteristic hanging foliage, is native to the banks of rivers, lakes and swamps. The flexible twigs of the willowood are use
in the weaving of baskets, mats, and furnishings of various sorts.
