Ambrose Sinclair a.k.a. Corbin
Ambrose Sinclair was sickly from birth. His childhood was spent battling a wasting disease that did permanent damage to his lungs and, to a lesser extent, his heart. Ambrose's world was primarily composed of healers,
servants & his bedroom for most of his life. Ambrose is well read because he was allowed to do little else other than read.
His father, Basil, was disappointed that his son was so physically weak. Basil has had little to do with Ambrose since he was born. Basil is concerned about Ambrose's recent disappearance since he was negotiating a
profitable merger with another noble house. This merger hinged on Ambrose marrying the other house's eldest daughter (considerably older than Ambrose, not to mention VERY ugly).
Lydia, Ambrose's mother, is just the opposite of her husband. Where he pays no attention, she pays too much. She is hyper-attentive & smothering. Ambrose's disappearance has turned her into a nervous wreck. She
faints twice per day over the disappearance.
Nigel, Ambrose's older brother, is protective of his weaker brother but knows that Ambrose is capable of more than others give him credit for. He is concerned about Ambrose's disappearance but is too concerned with
the day-to-day issues of House Sinclair. He is confident that his brother will turn up.
Ambrose arranged his own disappearance. He wanted to escape the arranged marriage, see the world & have the opportunity to prove himself to his family. But mainly, this was the next logical step in his
quest ... a quest for eternal life.
Update: Ambrose was tragically killed by a fearsome Troll in the Dungeons of Quasqueton.
