Galahad’s Letter of Intent (Written before leaving, sealed and addressed to Cardelle or any of House
Cheshire, and left in the care of the Church of the Creator in Deeptown.)
My dear family,
By now Uncle Cardelle has explained to you the odd way in which I find myself. I hope the news was not too troubling.
I have been entrusted with a Holy artifact and received a vision I believe to be of the kidnapped Prince. Soon I will leave on the dangerous quest to see if I have interpreted my vision correctly.
My recent companions, Grolsch of the temple of the red god, Kessen the mind-Dwarf, the elf woman Maze, Kraken the sorcerer, and Jules the culinary monk, will be with me this time as well. Together we
have seen great successes against great odds, and our power has only grown. I am confident the Creator will be with us, but the path we walk is fraught with danger.
I write this to let you know my intentions. As a group, I am confident of our success. I shall give the others full instructions on my expectations concerning the disposition of the prince, should my
vision prove correct but my body fail.
For I have seen the other side of life twice now, and hovered at the threshold of death more often than I can remember. If it is the Creator’s will that I pass into his realm again, I shall remain. The price for
my return has been already too high. I would not have anyone pay it thrice. Know that I do this willingly and know I love you all.
Your son, nephew, and cousin,
Lexington Cornelius Cheshire.
